Sunday Dinner...Happy Valentines Day!
Ladies & Gentlemen sometimes we need a little help in the kitchen. I like to share easy meals that will please that special someone in your life and make you look like a great cook even if you aren't. They are easy and quick!
Tonight’s Dinner is: Turkey Necks, Cabbage & Cornbread
1 Pack of Turkey Necks (or any other meat you prefer)
1 Head of Cabbage
1 Box of Jiffy Cornbread Mix
1 onion
Small can of corn
Directions
Turkey Necks
Brown turkey necks in a large pot with ½ chopped onions (I also add garlic). Add water or broth and cook on medium high until tender.
Cabbage
Chop 1 head of cabbage (not the stem), put cabbage, ½ chopped onions, a teaspoon of salt, teaspoon of pepper, teaspoon of crushed red pepper, and teaspoon of sugar w/2 cups of water in a large pot and cook on medium high heat until tender.
Cornbread
Follow the directions on the box but add the corn. (I also add a little sugar and melted butter). Cook following the directions on the box.
