Shani’s Cabbage Soup


Ingredients

1 large onion, chopped
1 clove of chopped garlic
2 cans of condensed low sodium vegetable or chicken broth
1 head of cabbage, coarsely chopped
1 stalk of celery
2 tomatoes or 1 14 oz can, diced
½ teaspoon of dill
1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon of pepper
1 pinch of ground red pepper
1 teaspoon of basil
Smoked turkey (optional)

Directions

Step1: Add broth, turkey (optional), onions, and garlic to a large pot. Cook for 20 minutes.
Step 2: Add remaining ingredients and 1 quart of water, let cook for an hour.

*If you do not add turkey skip step one.
