Shani's Chaffles

One day, over a year ago, I was browsing social media and all I kept seeing is chaffles. Of course I tried a few recipes and they were a fail. 

Finally, I decided to create my own recipe and I like how they turned out.  I also bought two new waffle makers (Belgian and Dash). My previous one was quite old and didn't cook evenly. 

I'm not sure why I haven't posted this recipe sooner, but now that it is part of my Keto Military Diet I decided to share it with you all.

Chaffles can be used in multiple ways. Some use chaffles as sandwich bread, others top them with berries, keto ice cream, or whipped topping for a sweet treat. While most chaffles are made in a dash or mini waffle maker, you can use any waffle maker you have on hand. You can also use a mini griddle and make it a chiddle for a flatter surface.

Basic Chaffle
1 cup Mozzarella Cheese 
1 egg
1 tablespoon of Almond flour 
1 teaspoon of Coconut flour
1 dash of Himalayan Sea Salt 

Wonderbread Chaffle🍞
1 tablespoon of Almond flour 
1 teaspoon of Coconut flour
1 Tablespoon Mayonnaise
1/4 Teaspoon Baking Powder
Pinch of pink Himalayan salt
1 Tablespoon Water
1 egg
*1/4 tsp psyllium husk powder (optional for extra fiber)*

Italian Chaffle🥖
1 cup Mozzarella Cheese 
1 egg
1 tablespoon of Almond flour 
1 teaspoon of Coconut flour
1 teaspoon of Cayenne
1 teaspoon of Garlic powder
1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning 
1 dash of Himalayan Sea Salt 

Garlic Parmesean Chaffle🧄
1 cup Mozzarella Cheese 
1 egg
1 tablespoon of Almond flour 
1 teaspoon of Coconut flour
1 teaspoon of Cayenne
1 tablespoon of Garlic Parmesean seasoning

Jalapeno Cheddar Chaffle🌶
1 cup Cheddar Cheese 
1 egg
1 tablespoon of chopped Jalapenos
1 tablespoon of Almond flour 
1 teaspoon of Coconut flour
1 teaspoon of Cayenne

Jalapeno Popper Chaffle🌶
1 cup Cheddar Cheese 
1 egg
1 tbsp Cream Cheese
1 tablespoon of Almond flour 
1 teaspoon of Coconut flour
1 dash of Cayenne
1 tbsp of chopped Jalapenos (add after you blend the mix)

*Once cooked, drizzle w/cream cheese sauce

Cream Cheese Sauce
Blend:
1oz of softened cream cheese
1 tbsp heavy cream
1 dash of dried Dill (optional)

Keto Zucchini/Squash Fritter Chaffle
Click Here for recipe. Instead of frying in a skillet scoop mix into waffle maker

Breakfast/Dessert Chaffle🧇
1 cup Mozzarella Cheese 
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon of Vanilla extract
1 tablespoon of Almond flour 
1 teaspoon of Coconut flour
1/2 teaspoon of Cinnamon 
1/2 teaspoon of Nutmeg

*1/2 tablespoon of Keto Friendly Sweetener (optional)

Lemon Cheesecake Chaffle🍋
1 cup Mozzarella Cheese 
1 tablespoon Cream Cheese
1 egg
1 teaspoon of Lemon extract (or fresh lemon)
1 tablespoon of Almond flour 
1 teaspoon of Coconut flour
1/2 tablespoon of Keto Friendly Sweetener 

Lemon Cream Cheese Drizzle
Blend:
1oz of softened cream cheese
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp keto friendly sweetener 

Banana Nut Chaffle 🍌
1 cup Mozzarella Cheese 
1 egg
1 tsp of Banana extract 
1 tsp Vanilla extract
1 tablespoon of Almond flour 
1 teaspoon of Coconut flour
1/2 tbsp of Keto Friendly Sweetener 
1/2 tbsp walnuts or pecans, chopped into small pieces (add after you blend the mix)

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chaffle🥜🍫
1 tablespoon of Almond flour 
1 teaspoon of Coconut flour
1 tsp Peanut Butter (no sugar added)
1 tsp Coconut Cream 
1 tsp Vanilla
1 tsp Cacoa Powder
1 egg
1 tsp Keto friendly sweetener 
*1/4 tsp psyllium husk powder (optional for extra fiber)*
*1/2 tsp Cacoa Nibs (add after blending)

Directions
Combine ingredients in a food processor or magic bullet until blended smooth 
Pour into waffle maker

*Each recipe makes two chaffes
