Campfire Seafood Boil
September of last year I went on a camping trip. As I was preparing for my trip, I did what I usually do and put together a menu. I do a lot of camping and I really stick to the same menu. I had gone on a couple of camping trips and I just wanted to do something a little different. I wanted something that was a little less labor-intensive. I had this idea to do shrimp and sausage foil packs. I started to rethink this idea and decided last minute that I would make my seafood boil sauce.
I prepared all of my ingredients and put them in a container, then I prepared my seafood boil sauce and put that in a separate container. Once I got to the campsite, I left and went over to Dollar Tree and picked up mini foil pans. They were perfect for serving individual bowls to people at the campsite. They were so good that I've been asked to bring them again. Check out how I made them below. I cut everything down to a size that makes it easier with less cook time. I honestly do not have exact measurements of anything so I'm just going to say prepare what you feel your family can eat.
Ingredients
Jumbo Shrimp
Turkey Smoked Sausage
Red Potatoes
Corn on the Cob
Boiled Eggs
Seafood Boil Sauce
Directions
Before the Trip

Slice turkey sausage into 1/2 inch slices
Cut potatoes into 12s (slice in half, then in half again, cut each half into 3 pieces)
Cut corn into 4s or smaller if you prefer.
Boil eggs and remove shells when cool
Put all ingredients in an airtight container.
Make seafood boil sauce. Allow to cool and pour into airtight container
At the Campsite
Layer all ingredients in a shallow foil pan. Pour in boil sauce. Cover with foil. Place on grill and close the lid. Cook until boiling and potatoes are tender.
